Sunda Kalapa harbor
Jakarta was begun its story in the 14th. The old Batavia's heart is in the "Kota" area now.
Old Batavia city represents the uniqueness of Jakarta with a various blend of culture and traditions.
In this tour, we will bring you to visit: National Museum (the museum has endeavored to preserve Indonesia's heritage for two centuries), China Town (the area is also known as Pecinan or Chinatown since the Dutch colonial era), considered the biggest in Indonesia. Majority of the traders and residents of Glodok are Chinese descent. The area dates back to colonial times when in November 1740, Dutch East Indies Company (VOC) designated Glodok as a residential area for ethnic Chinese) , Fatahilla Square (this area also known as The Old Town of Batavia), then continue to approach a Drawn Bridge (known as Diamond City Bridge and Chicken Market area).
We finish at Sunda Kelapa Harbor where you can see loading and unloading done by manual labors.
NOTE : FROM CHINA TOWN WE WILL USE TRICYCLE (TUK TUK) TO THE HARBOR.

5 Excursions :

1. National Museum.
Is an archeological, historical, ethnological and geograohical museum located in Jalan Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta. Popularly known as the elephant Museum after the elephant statue in its forecourt. Its broad collections cover all of Indonesia's territory and almost all of its history. The museum has endeavoured to preserve Indonesia's heritage for two centuries. The museum is regarded as one the most complete and the best in Indonesia, as well as one of the finest museum in Southeast Asia. The museum has preserved about 141.000 object, ranged from prehistoric artifacts, to archeology, numismaticts, ceramics, ethonography, history and geography collections. It has comprehensive collections of stone statues of classical Hindu-Buddhist period of ancient Java and Sumatera, as well as quite extensive collections of Asia ceramics.

2. China Town.
China Town/ Glodok is an urban village of Taman Sari, West Jakarta. The area is also as Pecinan of Chinatown since the Dutch colonial era, and is considered the bigesst in Indonesia. Majority of the traders and residents of Glodok are Chinese descent. The area dates back to colonial times when in November 1740, Dutch East Indies Company designated Glodok as a residential area for ethnic Chinese. administratively, the area is a kelurahan under the Taman Sari subdistrict, West Jakarta. Glodok is one of the biggest trading centers for electronic goods in Jakarta.

3. Fatahilla Square.
Fatahillah Square (Indonesian: Taman Fatahillah) is the historical center of the old Batavia. The square is located at the center of Jakarta Old Town. Today the square is a tourist area home to the Jakarta History Museum (we will visit), Puppet Museum (we will visit include to see the puppet workshop) in Kota, Jakarta.

4. Drawbridge/ Hanging bridge.
Kota Intan bridge is a hanging bridge located at Kali Besar of Kota Tua in Jakarta. It is the oldest bridge in Indonesia that was built in 1628 by the Dutch East India Company. Now the bridge is under the management of the Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Culture Department. The bridge is also known as jembatan gantung or hanging bridge. In the past, it operated as a Bascule bridge. The double “leaf” of the bridge would swing upward to provide clearance for marine traffic during the colonial era.

5. Sunda Kalapa Harbor
Sunda Kelapa is the old port of Jakarta located on the estuarine of Ciliwung river. "Sunda Kalapa" (Sundanese : "Coconut of Sunda") is the original name, and it was the main port of the Sunda Kingdom. The port is situated in Penjaringan sub-district, of North Jakarta, Indonesia. Today the old port only accommodate Phinisi, a traditional two masted wooden sailing ship serving inter-island freight service in the archipelago. Although it is now only a minor port, Jakarta has its origins in Sunda Kelapa and it played a significant role in the city's development. The port is currently operated by the state-owned Indonesia Port Corporations.

- 08. 30 - 09. 00: Meet and greet.
- 09. 00 - 09. 45: On the way to the National Museum
- 11. 00 - 11. 20: On the way to China Town
- 13. 20 - 13. 35: On the way to Fatahilla Square (Puppet Museum and Fatahilla Museum)
- 13. 35 - 14. 00: Lunch at Batavia Cafe (break time) then to Drawbridge and Sunda Kelapa Harbor
- 15. 30 - 16. 00: Back to Hotel or Cruise Ship.

NOTE : We will use tricycle from China Town to Fatahillah Square/ Sunda Kelapa Harbor and Taxi Boat. The itinerary is flexible. You can switch it.
* Monday, all museum are closed. So we will visit Istiqlal Mosque and Antic Market
